Edmonton Classical Music is an online publication at https://edmontonclassicalmusic.org focused on classical music and design. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your choices.

What we collect when you visit the site
Hosting and content delivery networks create standard server logs. When you load a page, our hosting environment and CDN receive your IP address, the time of the request, the URL requested, and information your browser provides such as user agent and referrer. These logs help us keep the site reliable, diagnose problems, and defend against abuse.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or affiliate tracking on this site.
Comments
Articles on this site may allow readers to leave comments. If you post a comment, WordPress stores the text you submit and the time of submission. For spam and abuse prevention, WordPress also stores the IP address and user agent associated with the comment.
If you choose to save your name, email, and website when commenting, WordPress will place a small cookie in your browser so those fields can auto-fill next time. That cookie is optional and exists only on your device.
All comments pass through a moderation queue. We do not use third-party spam filtering services on comments.
If you email us
If you write to any of our published addresses (for example [email protected] or [email protected]), we will receive the contents of your message and the metadata sent by your email provider. We use that information to respond and to manage our correspondence. Email providers that handle your message will also process it in line with their own terms.
Accounts and site administration
Reader accounts are not offered. Only site administrators can sign in. WordPress sets session cookies for logged-in administrators to manage the site; these cookies are not set for regular visitors.
Cookies and local storage
Beyond the optional comment cookie and administrator session cookies, we keep browser storage to a minimum. Our CDN may use strictly necessary cookies or similar methods to route traffic efficiently and protect against abuse. How we use and share information
We use information to publish and moderate content, keep the site secure and available, understand basic site reliability, and respond to messages you send us.
Operational service providers that enable the site to function, such as our web host, CDN, and email providers, can process information on our behalf to deliver their services. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Data location and transfers
Our hosting and CDN infrastructure may distribute content and process logs across multiple regions. This means your information may be transferred to or stored in a country different from your own, subject to that location’s laws and safeguards.
Retention
Server and CDN logs are kept for the period needed to operate and secure the site. Published comments and their metadata are kept unless we remove them as part of moderation or you ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to manage our exchange and obligations.
Your choices and rights

• Request correction or deletion of your information, including removal of a comment you posted.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable under your local law.
